I’ve been a FrameForge user since version one and it’s the tool I always think of first when setting up a project. I’ve seen the software go from strength to strength over the years and now find it indispensable.

Being able to show a complete, and accurate mock-up of a concept is invaluable. On a music video I was working on, when our initial ‘fallen tree’ location fell through, an alternate location--the one we used in the final film--was easy to scout as we had the concept video fresh in mind.

In this music video, the artist had to be cloned and appear alongside himself, and so FrameForge was an essential tool for working out each VFX plate and the necessary timings.

I was also able to set up the camera, lenses, frame size and aspect ratio within the project which all contributed to a smooth and problem free shoot. So much so that we were able to shoot more material on the day than was originally planned.

The printed storyboards were a great reference both during filming and whilst editing. All in all, the final video is a testament to the preparation that FrameForge was central to.
