FrameForge helps so many departments determine what they need to do to integrate the planned VFX into the live shoot, from production design, to the camera department, and of course, the director.

Freedom to Explore

Robert Stadd, VFX Supervisor Los Angeles

I love FrameForge Studio, and as a visual effect supervisor, I use it all the time.

When I used it on The Hangover, Part III, we used it to lay out the giraffe sequence that happens in the beginning of the movie.

One of the things I love most, is that I can use SketchUp (and the 3d Warehouse) with the program. This means that I can import and use 3D elements from other sources, in addition to the program's own extensive library.

In this case, we brought in a 3D giraffe, and a freeway overpass as well. What was great, was being able to correctly determine the camera angles because we could correctly scale the giraffe and freeway elements, so that we knew exactly what we'd be seeing in the frame.

This helped so many departments determine what they needed to do: the size of the trailer he was going to be in (production design) the height of the trailer hitch (picture car), the lens the DP was going to use (camera), and of course, the comedic elements (director).

Just the absolute best.

Thanks for making it.
